કેટલાક લોકો સ્કૂલને બિલ્ડિંગ, રિઝલ્ટ, રેન્ક અને સુવિધાઓથી માપે છે… પરંતુ એક માતા-પિતા સ્કૂલને ફક્ત એક જ વસ્તુથી માપે છે: “મારું બાળક ત્યાં કેવી પ્રકારનો ઈન્સાન બની રહ્યું છે?” અને આજે, આંખોમાં આંસુ અને દિલમાં સકૂન સાથે હું કહી શકું છું કે Hanifa High School & Hostel એ મારી દીકરીને માત્ર સારા માર્ક્સ જ આપ્યા નથી… એને જીવનની સાચી દિશા આપી છે. જિંદગીએ મને એવા ઇમ્તેહાનોમાંથી પસાર કર્યો છે જેને શબ્દોમાં સમજાવવું સરળ નથી. મારી પત્નીના ઇંતકાલ પછી, ઘરની અંદરની ખામોશી પણ મને ડરાવવા લાગી હતી. દીકરી ધીમે ધીમે મોટી થતી જાય… અને સાથે સાથે એક પિતાની ચિંતાઓ પણ શાંતિથી વધી રહી હોય છે. એની લાગણીઓને કોણ સમજશે ? જ્યારે હું નિષ્ફળ જઈશ ત્યારે એને કોણ માર્ગદર્શન આપશે ? આજના સમયમાં એની પરવરિશ અને સંસ્કારોને કોણ સુરક્ષિત રાખશે ? એનો આત્મવિશ્વાસ તોડ્યા વગર એને શિસ્ત કોણ શીખવશે ? આવા પ્રશ્નો ઘણા માતા-પિતાને અંદરથી શાંતિથી તોડી નાખે છે. પછી મારી દીકરી Hanifa High School & Hostel નો ભાગ બની. અને ધીમે ધીમે… કંઈક બદલાવ આવવા લાગ્યો. એક જ રાતમાં નહીં. કોઈ જાદુઈ રીતે નહીં. પણ ખૂબ સુંદર રીતે, સચ્ચાઈથી અને ધીરજ સાથે. મેં એની વાતોમાં સમજદારી આવતી જોઈ. એના વર્તનમાં જવાબદારી આવતી જોઈ. એના સ્વભાવમાં સહનશક્તિ આવતી જોઈ. એક બાળક જે દરેક વાત પર તરત પ્રતિક્રિયા આપતું હતું, એ ધીમે ધીમે જિંદગી સમજવા લાગ્યું. અને મારો વિશ્વાસ કરો… દુનિયાની કોઈ પણ માર્કશીટ એક માતા-પિતા માટે આ ખુશીની બરાબરી કરી શકતી નથી. આજે લોકો મને અભિનંદન આપે છે કારણ કે મારી દીકરીએ ઉત્તમ માર્ક્સ મેળવ્યા. પણ સાચું કહું તો… એક પિતા તરીકે હું માત્ર ટકાવારી માટે ભાવુક નથી. હું એટલા માટે ભાવુક છું કારણ કે આજે જ્યારે બાળકો ડિપ્રેશન, અહંકાર, ખોટી સોબત, દેખાવાની દુનિયા અને લાગણીઓની ખાલીપામાં ખોવાઈ રહ્યા છે… ત્યારે પણ આ સંસ્થા શિક્ષણ સાથે સંસ્કાર અને કેરેક્ટર બનાવવામાં વિશ્વાસ રાખે છે. અને આ બહુ દુર્લભ વાત છે. ખૂબ જ દુર્લભ. સ્કૂલો માત્ર સિલેબસ પૂર્ણ કરી શકે. શિક્ષકો વિષયો પૂર્ણ કરી શકે. પરંતુ થોડાં જ સંસ્થાઓ બાળકોના દિલમાં આખી જિંદગી માટે મૂલ્યો છોડી જાય છે. I saw understanding coming into her words. I saw responsibility coming into her behavior. I saw endurance coming into her nature. A child who used to react instantly to everything, slowly started understanding life. And believe me… no mark sheet in the world can equal this happiness for a parent. Today people congratulate me because my daughter got excellent marks. But to be honest… as a father, I am not only emotional about percentages. I am emotional because today when children are getting lost in depression, ego, wrong company, world of appearances and emptiness of emotions… Even then this institution believes in building culture and character with education. And this is a very rare thing. Very rare. Schools can only complete the syllabus. Teachers can complete the subjects. But only a few institutions leave values in the hearts of children for life. Hanifa High School & Hostel is one such institution.
